the 5 senses

Letter A is for Alligator! We had a lot of fun with our 5 senses this week.  We learned the importance of sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing.  The children discovered without senses and with them .  

 We learned about our ears can hear.  We did a hearing dance with maracas.
 What sounds to animals make?
 Alligator starts with A.
 we discovered all sorts of different Alligators. Ask your child if they remember any of the Alligator names. The american alligator roars like a lion.  The black Caimen is very strong and can smell miles away. The dwarf alligator is nocturnal (ask your child if they remember what that means.) We learned about all sorts of crocodiles and alligators.
 M-W-F- class learning the importance of sight.  We also played a game where they were blindfolded and had to guess what items were.

 We did a dance to "Down by the bay"  What did we find down by the bay?  We found a Bear combing his hair.

 We had to use our sight, touch  (to place marshmallows), listen with our ears,and taste (Marshmallows) we used 4 of our 5 senses. .
 They all won!
 We explored colors, counting and patterns with crayons.

 Noah smelling cucumbers.  They did not like that smell.
 Kincade brought animal crackers for the class.  So much fun! A is for Animal crackers.  The kids loved them.  Thank you Kincade
