Nursery Rhymes fun and Valentine's day!

February was Nursery Rhyme and Mail time month! We learned the importance of giving and receiving letters. Learning Nursery Rhymes is essential for learning how to read. Connecting a rhyme to other items that rhyme makes a child interact with the books. Dr. Seuss is a great example of learning fun reading through Rhymes. Alexa and her special gift for her mom. I gave each child a monkey or bear to take home.

Thank you all for your wonderful support in school. The children loved nursery rhyme time. We explored all of the nursery rhymes. With dramatics, music, songs, circle time games, manipulative's, patterns, sorting, comprehensions, and cognitive learning. Remember to ask your child to repeat some of the nursery rhymes they learned. We did change a few of the nursery rhymes. For instance- There was an old lady who lives in a shoe, she had so many children she knew just what to do. She gave them some broth and baked them some bread and gave them hugs and kisses and put them in bed.
We want each child to have a positive experience through nursery rhymes. We learned what sixpence and Rye are. We also learned what a tuffett and curds and whey are.
Thank you for being such amazing parents.
